COFFINs

coffins made with wood from crates. We found a local glass supply company that always has a unlimited amount of wood crates that there glass gets shipped in.

They were happy for us to take a couple truck loads of this wood off there hands. So these props were FREE BEES!

Im not going to put details on how we built these because the pictures explain everything.. Took about 2 hours start to finish to build this one. I didnt want it to have too nice of a look so I didnt match anything up perfectly which made the build even easier. I plan on getting some perfect wood from the depot and doing the whole sand down, stain, routing, and varnishing of a coffin, just not this year...

This particular coffin will be laying in my truckbed, half in half out (there is a camper shell on my bed also) with a fog machine in it pumping smoke out at random as well as a green fog lamp in it to give off a eerie effect. Since this coffen will be closed I saw no reason to put hinges on it at this time. Thinking of opening one side of the lid and having a bloody hand coming out of the side, as if the dead persons hand was sliding out of the box. I will post pictures from the night of the setup.
